DCC October Tuesdays 2025, October is DCC Membership Appreciation Month.

10/7, 10/14, 10/21, and 10/28

A Swiss System 4 round tournament

Date:  Tuesdays in October 2025 (10/7, 10/14, 10/21, and 10/28) DCC Annual Members get 50% the monthly entry. Membership must be for 1 year, and current through January 2026. Additional year membership will be added to the end of remaining months.

Time Control: G/70, d/10 (70 minutes each player with 10 second delay before each move)

Sections: Premier (1700+ or Unrated) - U1900 - U1500 Premier Section: Those rated 1700+ and those unrated.  If rating is less than 1700, you must be a Winner of the U1900 Section within the past 2 months to play in the Premier Section.

Round Time: We are targeting a 7:15 start time. (7:05pm at-the-door registration cut-off)

USCF membership is required (uschess.org)

Site: Hope Fellowship Christian Reformed Church. 2400 S. Ash Denver CO 80222. Please use the rear entrance.

Directions: One block East of S. Colorado Blvd. on Wesley. Please use rear entrance.

Entry Fees: DCC members: $13.50 for the entire month of October 2025 or $8 per round (Membership must be an annual membership good through January 2026). Non-DCC members: $37 per month or $10 per round. Children UNDER 14: $2 off per round or $10.50 DCC member and $29 non-member. For immediate families, the 3rd family member plays for free (note: online registration does not support this, and all 3 must register and pay. A refund will be given, upon check-in to the 3rd family member).

Prizes: Based on entries (DCC deducts a set amount to cover expenses; the remainder goes to the prize fund).  1st, 2nd, 3rd place prizes, and 2 Upset prizes in each section. 

Registration: Online from 6:00 to 6:50 PM, or at the door from 6:00 to 7:05 PM.   When registering online, players must still check in at the registration table before the close of registration.  Potential players appearing after 7:05PM will be accommodated only if it does not disrupt the pairing schedule.  Online registration helps speed up check-in and helps for an on-time start.

Bye Policy:  1 half-point bye is available on request for any one round. Must request last round bye before the prior round.

Byes for missed rounds must be requested before the player is paired in a subsequent round.  Once paired, byes for missed rounds cannot be requested.

USCF Rule Change:  Rule 13D (late arrival for game) is changed from 1 hour to 30 minutes.  Any late arrival after 30 minutes will result in a forfeit.
