Directions:  The Hotel is off I-25, exit 197, go east on East Arapahoe Rd., Turn right on S Clinton St. Hotel Address: 7007 S Clinton St., a light rail links from downtown Denver to Arapahoe at Village Center Station, Cross walk to east side of I-25, then bus to 7007 S Clinton St.
Time Control:  All Sections, G/90; +30 second increment from move 1.
Sections: Championship (Players between 1999-1700 are considered playing up a section; therefore 1700 is the Minimum USCF Rating) – FIDE RATED
USCF-RATED sections: U2000,  U1700, U1400, U1100

CHECK IN IS NOT REQUIRED to be paired. IF YOU PAID, YOU WILL BE PAIRED, Unless bye requested. 

Entry Fee: Championship (FIDE Rated): GM/IM/WGM/WIM Free if complete tournament; Players between 1999-1700 are considered playing up a section; Championship Section Entry, DCC Members $80 and Non-Members $90 by 6/08/2024, after early date DCC Mem $90 and Non-DCC $100 by 6/14/2024, ($10 more entry at site; $10 more to play up one section; $10 more for Unrated players to play in any section but U1100. Other than place prizes in Championship section, a maximum prize for unrated player playing in under section is $250) - ENTRY for ALL other Sections (U2000, U1700, U1400, U1100): DCC Members $70 and Non-Members $80 by 6/08/2024, after early date DCC Mem $80 and Non-Mem $90 by 6/14/2024; ($10 more to play up one section). Juniors (ages under 14) can enter at DCC discount rate of $10 off entry. Prizes    $8100 PRIZE FUND with 5 Sections: Championship - FIDE RATED [1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th]: $1000, $650, $400, $300; U2000: $300; Top three prizes guaranteed, rest of prizes based on 180 paid entries; - Other sections [1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th]: - U2000: $600, $400, $250, $150; - U1700: $550, $350, $225, $125; - U1400: $500, $300, $200, $100, - U1100: $500, $300, $200, $100; and there is a $100 prize for biggest upset in each 5 sections. SPECIAL TEAM PRIZE $100; Best combined score, Team of Father/Mother-Son, Daughter, Son In-law, or Daughter In-law

Registration    Online Only at denverchess.com - Limited to 264. ($10 more if entry at site and 1st round half point bye). Online Registration closes when 264 players are reached or otherwise at 9am for the other sections on 6/15.

Bye Policy: Only one half point bye will be allowed between Rd. 1 through 4. Byes for Rd 3 & 4, must be signed up 15min before round 3. Bye’s for Round 5 will be scored as zero, but will not be considered a withdrawal.
