  • Chigorin Chess Variant invented by Ralph Betza Ralph Betza is a FIDE chess master and he is the most respected contemporary chess variant inventor

As many rounds as time allows Each person plays the opponent once with Black Bishops, once with White Knights

Special rules: Black's Knights become Bishops, Black has 4 Bishops Black has 5 diagonal pieces if you include the Queen White's Bishops become Knights, White has 4 Knights. White's Queen becomes a Chancelor which moves like a Rook and Knight White has 5 pieces that move like a Knight if you include the Chancelor

Special pieces and souvenirs provided by Jeremy Good

The White Knight Army is called the Chigorin side because the Chigorin defense 1 d4 d5 2 c4 Nc6 often features Knights over Bishops

The Black Bishop side is called the Larry Kaufman side because Larry did extensive database analysis proving that Two Bishops are worth half a pawn advantage.

The Evaluation of Material Imbalances that's why the knights move first,to offset this advantage.
