  • Learn to Play Chess!

The "Learn to Play Chess!" group on Meetup.com is free to join. Founded in 2011, the group currently has in-person events six days a week all over the metro area, as well as a lichess.org online event. Inexpensive beginner lessons are offered in a recurring series, and all of our meetups feature casual unrated games that can include blitz, rapid, and untimed games. We have the entire range from beginners to Masters in the group. There is no cost to attend any event except for the lessons, and we play at coffee shops, restaurants and breweries around the city. We can be found at https://www.meetup.com/learn-to-play-chess/ and we hope you will join us!
